Vans Warped Tour, All Time Low, Katy Perry

Early Sunday morning at work, we got hit with a deluge of buses, rv's, and trucks. Turns out they were all part of the Vans Warped Tour. We had at least 60 vehicles come through, from the guys who set up the staging and lighting, to the actual bands (All Time Low, Katy Perry to name a couple), to the sponsors. It definitely turned a normally slow night into a few hours of fun and excitement!

It wasn't until the tail end of the entourage, that I was able to break out my camera. After talking with the driver of Katy Perry's private coach, and really trying to get him to have her come out for a quick photo (which was declined cuz "she gets very little sleep so I don't have the heart to wake her up" according to the driver), I had to at least grab a few shots of her tour bus cuz I knew Helena would freak when I got home and told her (had to have some photos for proof LOL).

Don't know who Katy Perry is? Don't feel bad, neither did I until I got home and looked up her myspace page. Course, Helena let me know how "outta it" I was for not knowing who she was, after all, she's only got the number one song in the country right now.... "I Kissed A Girl" :) :) :)

So here ya go Helena.... here's my proof! LOL BTW, in the wee hours of Monday morning, I have a gentleman standing in front of me at work, just talking my ear off like he knows me, when it dawns on me..... OMG! it's Katy Perry's driver again LOL He was so sweet!! Told me he'd get me a cd, but they were all in the back of the bus and he didn't dare go back and get it for fear of waking them up LOL It's ok, just remember to stop back in and say hi the next time your through our neck of the woods!!! :::MUAH:::

My Baby's 18th Birthday

This coming Thursday will be my baby's 18th birthday. Unfortunately, I'll miss it cuz I'll be in Texas visiting Lizzy, Matt, and sweet lil Evelynn Skye.

I really wanted to do something special to mark the occasion so last night I took her to go see her favorite country singer, Jason Aldean, over at Penn's Peak. We had a blast and she's more in love with him now than she was before the concert LOL. I will admit (but not too loudly tho cuz I'm a grandma now and he's probably young enough to be my son LOL), he is a cutie!

Here's one of the pics that I took.... was thinking about doing a layout it if I can find a suitable scrap kit ROFL! Music and cowboys themed would probably work. Anyone seen any kits out there that would go good with this pic? As always, click on the image to see the larger one.
